Everybody recognizes the Nike "swoosh" and the McDonald's "golden arches". In advertising, you'll take a walk through the :advertising business" and learn to create advertisements with style. Advertising focuses on the concepts and skills associated with the dynamic advertising industry. n Students will analyze the goals and objectives of advertising, identify and analyze advertisements, select media, and develop advertising, identify and analyze advertisements, select media, and develop advertisements. Membership in DECA is strongly recommended.

*7805 Entrepreneurship - 1 Credit

Prerequisite: None

Do you have the right stuff to be a successful business owner? In Entrepreneurship, you'll learn to plan, design, and start a profitable business idea to preparation of the business plan. Membership in DECA is strongly recommended.

*7810 Marketing Dynamics Cooperative Education I - 3 Credits
Grade 11 - 12
Prerequisite: Age 16 or age appropriate Application Teacher approval

"Innovate or perish!" That's what businesses encounter every day in constantly changing markets. In Marketing Dynamics, students examine risks and challenges marketers face to maintain their competitive edge. Marketing Dynamics focuses on the study of marketing concepts and principles and their practical applications. Application and cooperative agreement must be completed and approved by the marketing teacher. Membership in DECA is strongly recommended. Students may earn 6 college credits for this course.

*7815 Marketing Management Cooperative Education II - 3 Credits
Grade 11 - 12
Prerequisite: Marketing Management Cooperative Education I

In Marketing Management II, students find that to be a successful marketing manager, they must look for the good in their employees and help them be all that they can be. Marketing Management emphasizes the development of decision-making skills so that students understand the impact of management-oriented challenges. Involvement in a marketing research project is a recommended activity. Application and cooperative agreement must be completed and approved by the marketing teacher. Membership in DECA is strongly recommended. Students may earn 6 college credits for this course.

*7820 Marketing Education Independent Study - 1/2 to 1 Credit
Grade 12
Prerequisite: Completion of at least 3 courses in a marketing education coherent sequence.

This course is a project-based learning experience developed by a student or group of students, and an interdisciplinary mentor team. The project provides opportunities for an in-depth study of at least one aspect of the marketing field. The student or group demonstrates the development and presentation of a project. This activity meets one of the Distinguished Achievement Program measures.
