Newcomers Class
The Newcomers class is new to LHS, only taught during first period, and created for those students new to this country. We help them get a head start and get acquainted with Lewisville High School, especially with teacher expectations.
The curriculum is as follows:
Mrs. Stuart, the ESL teacher, is so far, the only Newcomer teacher in the whole school, she said, "It's fascinating and gratifying to see them acquire English. Many of them have studied English in their countries and they realize how much they have already learned. That's exiting!"
La nueva Clase de Newcomer es solamente enseñada durante el primer periodo, creada
para aquellos estudiantes nuevos en este país. Les ayudamos a que obtengan ventajas
con el inglés y que se familiaricen con Lewisville High School, especialmente con las
expectativas de los profesores.

La Señora Stuart, profesora de ESL, hasta ahora la única profesora de la clase de
Newcomer en toda la escuela, dijo, "Es fascinante y gratificante mirar a los alumnos
