The Lewisville Herpetological Society has rules and guidelines that must be followed at all times to insure the safety of the students as well as the safety of the animals.

• Students are not to handle the reptiles while they are shedding, or help them shed.
• Everyone will help clean the reptile units.
  
• Students will help bathe and keep the reptiles clean.
  
• Species are not to be mixed.
• Students are expected to be responsible while handling the reptiles.
