The Contests

The Academic Decthalon competition is comprised of nine written tests over art, music, science, mathmatics, language and literature, economics, speech, interview, essay, and the Super Quiz.

The Super Quiz is the main course of Ac Dec and is worth the most points when judging. Students study this portion of the program for months before the competition, and is the only event in the program in which the team actually works together in relay fashion in their efforts to score the highest.

The Decathletes are each called to answer five questions in written form from a projector in front of a live audience, who are typically family and friends of the Decathletes themselves. The team with the most points after 45 questions wins.
