Won 8th Place in the Nation

The Lewisville High School team won all rounds at both the regional and state competition, securing and holding a 1st place seed all the way to nationals.  The team consisted of Lawyers Josh Johnson, Tom Jacob, and Jenny Purcell; and of witnesses Joey DuBiel, Caleb Williams, Chase Jeffery, David Ball, Kelli Long, Vincent Walford, and Thomas Collinsworth.  The team defeated Richardson High School in the final round to secure its 2nd consecutive state title.  In Omaha, Nebraska, the team was undefeated, but lost its final round against the defending National Champions Washington by a 2-1 decision.  In the end, the team won 8th place in the nation. Coached by Sally Squibb, LHS bid goodbye to twenty-one years of Mock Trial participation. Local attorney, Greg Bertrand, served as the Texas Bar Association attorney-coach.
