Welcome to the LHS French Club webpage!

We are a group of kids who are interested in French culture and language, and wish to promote this awesome culture at our school. Of course, you don't need to be in a French class to join.

Information and such can be found on other pages, via the links at the top.

Also, we have free food and usually have a good time. So, what are you waiting for? Come and join us! Like Mrs. G says, "Provide and they shall come."

Updates

February 14, 2008:

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Tu adore l'amour? (Trans: do you love love?) The French certainly do! Let that special someone - or anyone you care about for that matter - know that you love them. <3 In other news, last night was our La Madeline night. A ton of people came and that made Mrs. G very happy! Encourage more people to come! Also, either next meeting, or La Madeline meeting, we are going to have a guest speaker, so be sure not to miss this one! And one final news: for our April La Madeline meeting, we are thinking of inviting Mr. Burns. What do you think?

January 07, 2008:

Hello everyone! Happy New Year, and isn't it great that the holidays are over? The French Club does not have any specific activities planned out at the moment than besides the monthly meeting at La Madeline which will occur this Wednesday. Don't miss out! If there is anything more that needs to be addressed, it will!

November 28, 2007:

Hey everyone. Sorry for not having any updates lately! Not much has been going on that requires too much attention. Last week we had a guest speaker who spoke about life in Quebec, and what it is like living in a community that spoke mostly French. This week we are watching a movie - Babette's Feast - make sure to come! We will then be going to La Madeline the next meeting, and then finishing Babette's Feast the meeting after. More information about what is going on can be found below!

October 19, 2007:

The links page has been completed - if anyone has pictures and such for/from French Club, please send them to room 2656 or to Mrs. Stamey, or email me (Nicole Allison) at murasaki_ryu@verizon.net with the pictures as an attatchment. No need to edit them, I'll handle all that!

Also, MEMBERS: GO TO MRS. G'S HOUSE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FROM 12:00 - 4:00 TO HELP WITH THE FLOAT AND OTHER STUFF! Ask Mrs. G for directions if you need them.

September 13, 2007:

Here are some important dates and such that we should be reminded of, and what has been going on in French Club:

Yesterday, we went to La Madeline and had a total blast with all of French food, laughs, stories, and speaking in French of course! We really should get a discount...

Important Dates:

February 23 the date of Fête Français, which is at Wiley High School, and while it is a long ways off, you might want to start making your entries! The more the better, because we have more chances to win!
