Most textbooks are issued by the state at no cost to the student. They are the property of the state, therefore, textbooks must be paid for at the price set by the Texas Education Agency. When a textbook has been lost, try to locate it as soon as possible. Once issued, students are totally responsible for textbooks. If one is stolen or misplaced, the student must pay for it before another is issued. If student has outstanding books at the end of a quarter (9 week period) no more textbooks will be issued until those are cleared up. After three days without a textbook, a student should pay for it and receive another one. Before paying for a book, take the book number and issuing teacher's name to the book room and see if it has been turned in. If not, get the price in the Main office and have the book number when paying for the book. If the book is located, bring the receipt, and the office will refund your money.
